Version 2.6 of the XmBDFEditor has been released. This version has a
number of new additions and some fixes.
NOTE:
The Linux binary was compiled with Motif 1.2.4 this time because our
Linux box with 2.0.1 is away.
Version 2.5 was never announced on these newsgroups.

Binary Distribution Notes:
o The binary distributions now have some simple installation notes.
o It is not necessary to have the Motif library (or the Xpm library
on
Linux) for the Linux and SunOS binaries. Motif is compiled into
the
executables statically.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
New features:
o FontGrids now have a menu for translating, rotating, and shearing
either the selected glyphs or all the glyphs in the font.
o Using the shift buttons in the GlyphEditor Toolbox will repeat if
the mouse button is held down.
Improvements:
o Rotating or shearing in a GlyphEditor will cause the GlyphEditor to
resize if needed.
o If the spacing is changed in the font name, and the font properties
are updated from the font name, changes from Proportional to
Monowidth or Character Cell will set the font monowidth value which
will be used as the device width for Monowidth fonts and the cell
width for Character Cell fonts.
o The code has been updated to fit the new FreeType API.
o The Makefile now has -R/usr/openwin/lib and -R/usr/dt/lib as part
of the Solaris link line to take care of situations where the
user's LD_LIBRARY_PATH does not have both or one of these paths.
Bug fixes:
o Fixed an allocation bug in the glyph grids that would cause core
dumps in certain rare situations.
Enjoy!

The binaries for ttf2bdf 1.6 have been released. This version adds two
things:
1. If no glyphs are generated, no BDF font is generated.
2. The remapping tables now include REGISTRY and ENCODING information
so the XLFD name will have an appropriate value.
The binaries are available at:

See the README file for the location of the ttf2bdf and FreeType
sources.
